Last year I was very impressed by the performance of Mr. Brown at Le Guess Who festival.
So when I heard he came down to Amstelveen, there was no doubt I had to go.
Guess what, that smile came again.

2 All the Bells
3 Devil's Grip

6 I Put a Spell on You

9 Sunrise
10 Time Captives
11 Fanfare - Fire Poem
12 Brains
13 Fire
14 Gypsy Escape
15 Spirit of Joy
Audience audio recording with Nokia Lumia 930.
Finished with Audacity (edit) and Zoom R24 (compress/equalize).

I have to admit: I wasn't expecting too much when I went to the concert of this 73 year old veteran. But I wanted to see this legend one more time.
The last time was in 1972 at the Hammerveld Jazz Festival in Roermond. No special good memories of that performance.
What a relief: the man was in very good shape and so was his voice and band. 'Godverdommer' he shouted at the delirious audience. A smile appeared on my face on the first notes and didn't went away.
I completely forgot to turn on the recorder on my phone, so this recording fades in at the fifth song of the set.

Music for Found Footage #3
Audience recording with Nokia Lumia 920.
This program present a selection of classic works from the LIMA (formerly Montevideo/NIMK) archive. The videos of this program were produced between 1979 and 1988 by five Dutch and international video artists, including works by pioneers of European video art such as Klaus vom Bruch, Reinier Kurpershoek and Ron Sluik. The selection focuses on the aesthetics of video art produced in the 80s, when the practise of remixing or manipulating film and video footage became popular among artists to create new narrative pieces. The program is presented in collaboration with LIMA.
Live score by Legowelt
With a career ranging over a decade, Danny Wolfers AKA Legowelt is one of the most respected Dutch indie electronic music producers active today. Always away from trends or hypes, his studio productions and legendary live sets blend different styles of electronics music to create a truly unique sound.
